Hello everyone! I hope this page finds you well, happy and healthy in this odd time! Vortex studio is excited to announce our new class offerings. We have worked very hard to decide the best way to move forward with our art classes and workshops during this trying period. Keeping everyone safe is our number one goal and doing it while still offering unique and stimulating art content is something we take very seriously.

offerings in September 2020

  • Kids Cartooning 101 – 4 week Zoom Art class with Ethan Mondays 11:00am-12:00pm 
  • Kids step by step acrylic painting on Zoom (comes with art kit and supplies) – 4 weeks $120 1.5 hour 
  • Adult step by step acrylic painting on zoom- With art kit and supplies $120 without art kit- $90 1.5 hour
  • Understanding mixed media and photo based art. 2 online tutorials with live demonstrations and interactive, questions and idea conversations. 2 zoom sessions 1 hour each $65

 


Booking: 

-We offer private classes at the studio or on location

 

-We require at least 5 days advanced notice and full payment for a class.

 

-To reserve a class please email artatvortexstudio@gmail.com and let us know your desired date, time and project for your art class. once confirmed please send payment and registration form via EMT to artatvortexstudio@gmail.com
-If you must cancel a class for any reason we have a non refundable $30 charge.

-All on location art classes further than 20KM from Wakefield Village are subject to an additional $10-20 travel fee.



Safety measures: Safety is very important to us at vortex. All classes offered must be in open air outside and are weather dependent. Classes will be rescheduled if it is raining or over 32 degrees or if you have ANY COVID symptoms. Please note we will only teach a maximum of 3 different households- no more than 10 people at a time (including teacher) as to meet the Quebec government’s guidelines. Please see below full information on our health and safety procedures.

At Vortex Classes: All of our at-vortex private classes are offered open air in our garden or on our deck. We offer a fully sterilized work space with an umbrella and sterilized supply kit. We also have a sterilization kit available if you would feel more comfortable to do it again yourself upon arrival.  teacher will be in a face shield during the class and will always practice social distancing. The studio washroom is available if needed and will be fully sanitized before the class. We do require you to wear a mask if entering the building. We have masks available if needed. The rest of the studio space will be blocked off.
On location art classes: In your front or back yard. For on location art classes and experiences vortex will bring all art supplies “travel kit” this kit included full PPE for Stella, folding table for the student, umbrella, chair for teacher, a sterilization kit, a first aid kit, A table cover (if you would prefer we use your table) a bucket and soap for hand-washing, and a garbage can. We will need access to a hose and extension cord. As well as access to an emergency washroom. we will always wear a mask if accessing the washroom. All classes must be done in open air.
