During this two hour class guests make two different and unique Macrame Plant Holders made from 100% Cotton and a wooden hoop. In this class Tessa will first demonstrate how to make a plant holder and then she will be able to assist you in completely both of your pieces. You will be able to successfully design and create your two Macrame plant holders with Tessa’s guidance and support.
Guests will choose between 3 different hand dyed colours for the plant hangers. We request that you let us know your choices when you RSVP so that Tessa can dye them and have them ready.
About our special guest teacher Tessa Carleton
Tessa lives in a local farmhouse where she makes handmade goods varying from healing stone jewelry – necklaces, rings & earrings to Macrame plant hangers & Macrame wall hangings to naturally dyed clothing and lastly Mudcloth pillows. Each item is handmade by her in the comfort of her home where she is surrounded by her animals, her plants and nature. Tessa focuses on being creative while she works with eco-friendly materials. While she constructs all her products she remains inspired by the ability to make anything with her hands. When creating her products, Tessa follows these design principles: uniqueness, quality, affordability & function. She focuses both on the Bohemian trend and eco-friendly/organic lifestyle.
Tessa has three years of Macrame experience. In the summer of 2017, Tessa and her Fiance traveled in their converted school bus and they were able to fund their entire three month trip with sales from her handmade goods small business. They stopped into various towns and cities and sold at local Farmer’s Markets. When Tessa is not making and creating handmade goods, she is busy with her hobby farm and her other small business – a pre-loved business with items for women, children and the home.
